What is Lip Tattoo?

Essentially, it is a cosmetic tattoo of the lips that enhances the beauty of the natural lip colour, improving the shape of the lips, giving definition and the illusion of fullness. This treatment delivers very natural results, once healed.

Working with a special tattoo machine that is at a lower speed and frequency than a traditional tattoo machine, ultra-fine needles gently deposit the colour throughout the lip area, using a selection of different techniques depending on the look you want.

Longlasting

Depending on lifestyle factors, lip tattooing can last anywhere from 1-3 years. After that the pigment will fade naturally and lighten over this time, it is recommended to attend a colour boost procedure every 10-12 months to maintain the results first achieved.

The Process

Paperwork & Planning

First lip tattoo treatments take about 2 hours, this includes paperwork and developing a plan for the lip shape and colour you’d like to go for.

1-1.5

Procedure

You’ll have a numbing cream applied on your lips after what you will feel only a slight scratching sensation.

3-4

weeks

Healing

When the procedure ends it takes about 3-4 weeks to heal. After 5-6 weeks you can go back for a touch-up.
